Taking inspiration from music, literature, visual art, nature, and everyday experience, Alice Dubois aims to capture something ephemeral and spiritual that lies between herself and others, and in the process manages to make imagination tangible. Through symbols and omens--often taking shape on canvas as animals or birds--it would appear that nature is the strongest visual influence on her art, while the mystery of connection between people is often the strongest emotional one.

A percentage of all retail proceeds occurring during the artist's reception on Sept 11 will benefit CASA, Flourish's featured non-profit.
